How is this backup taken? Maybe that. What do you see with head postgresql-dump I've found some invalid characters in that file, but I don't know if it means that the file is corrupted or that it's not a plain-text format Add a comment.

Also, check the Postgres versions.

I can't try importing it on the same machine, because it's a production machine. Any idea, what else I can do? This solution may also be relevant to some people: stackoverflow.
