File and printer sharing between windows 7 and windows vista

Still nothing. Shared New folders. They show on network but unable to open I've tried just about everything I can think of and have seen in threads and posts and still unable to get the computers talking. The printer is being detected by both machines but print is not successful. There seems to be a difference in the drivers that are being used in both computers - Vista recognises the Type-3 x86 printer driver while Windows 7 has the x64 printer driver installed.
